He eventually opened up
3 other stores before his untimely demise
in 1988. His wife, Annella, and daughter,
Linda operated the business until 1993.
With Annella retiring, Joe Ziccarelli (son)
returned to jointly run the business with
his sister. Joe Ziccarelli holds a B.S.
in Engineering from Cornell University and
served as an officer in the US Army Signal
Corps.
In addition to garment cleaning and pressing,
Owl Cleaners offers a myriad of other services:
Home and Office Pick-up and Delivery, Alterations,
Couture Care of Fashion, Archival Quality
Museum Care (TM) Wedding Gown Preservation,
Vintage Textile Restoration, Household Item
Cleaning, and Shoe Repair. Several of these
services aren't normally offered by most
cleaners due to the time, expertise, and
craft work required.
Home and office delivery allows the customer
to simplify their life as they no longer
have to do this chore themselves. Customers
can even earn bonus frequent flier miles
on each transaction. Twice weekly service
(or less if requested) provides clothes
at your doorstep when you need them. Unlike
most other cleaners who hide extra fees
or use a higher price list, Owl Cleaners
provides this service FREE of charge ---
a customer pays the same as if they went
to a retail store.
Owl Cleaners is also a member of the Certified
Restoration Drycleaning Network (CRDN) which
provides emergency services for home owners
who experience a disaster. They work with
your insurance company to provide you with
clean and restored clothing.
Museum Quality Preservation and restoration
of wedding gowns is one of their most requested
specialties. As a member of the Association
of Wedding Gown Specialists, they are fully
trained to protect and preserve your special
day. Every gown is personally inspected,
treated, cleaned, and pressed. Unlike most
other cleaners, they insist on allowing
the bride to see her gown before it is placed
in the preservation box and offer a lifetime
written guarantee.
Owl Cleaners sponsors an annual READ to
RIDE program with 3 area libraries and hundreds
of children each year attempt to win a new
bike through the reading encouragement program.
Owl Cleaners also donates annually to area
charities. Past contributions of over $6000
in the last few years were made to Children's
Hospital and North Hills Community Outreach.
Owl Cleaners is grateful for the opportunity
to provide quality service to our local
customers and for their ongoing and continuing
patronage.
Owl Cleaners has seven area locations and
can be reached at 866-OWL-Clean for more
information on any of their services. |
